For CCTV installation in Seville, Spain we propose the system you actually need: IP cameras with a recorder, viewing from your phone and the information sign that Spanish data protection law requires, in homes, villas, building entrances, communal garages and businesses. CCTV installation in Seville, Spain, done with judgement

Buying cameras is easy. The hard part is making them record what matters, see clearly at night, keep working through the first power cut and comply with data protection law. When we help you with a CCTV installation in Seville we start there: what you want to watch, where you will watch it from and who will have access to the images.

This matters especially if you spend part of the year away from Spain or let your home to holidaymakers: you want to check the villa from your phone, and the system has to respect the rules on recording people.

What it includes

  • Survey of the surveillance points: entrances, doors, windows, garden, garage or the till in a business.
  • IP or analogue cameras for indoors and outdoors, with the right degree of protection for the weather and night vision.
  • Recorder with a hard drive to store the images, in a protected and ventilated place.
  • Clean cabling through conduit, trunking or the false ceiling, with the cameras powered through the network cable itself when the system allows it.
  • Viewing from your phone, with your own users and passwords.
  • Information sign for the monitored area and camera aiming that complies with data protection rules.

Where we install them

  • Villas and townhouses. In Tomares, Bormujos or Mairena del Aljarafe the usual set-up covers the gate, the porch, the back door and the garden. Combined with outdoor lighting on a motion sensor, night images improve a lot.
  • Flats. A camera at the front door or a digital peephole, connected to your phone.
  • Apartment buildings. Entrance hall, lift, bin room and above all the garage: in the communal garages of Sevilla Este or Pino Montano the camera on the ramp is one of the most requested.
  • Businesses. Shops, bars, offices and warehouses, with cameras at the till, doors and back room, and the recorder in the data cabling rack.

How we work

  1. We visit the property and mark with you which areas to cover and from which point.
  2. We propose the system: number of cameras, resolution and recorder, with a fixed quote.
  3. We install and cable the cameras and the recorder.
  4. We set up viewing on your phone and adjust the framing of each camera.
  5. We put up the information sign and show you how to review the recordings.

Regulations

Cameras that capture people are subject to the General Data Protection Regulation and Spain’s Organic Law 3/2018 (LOPDGDD), which require the information sign. If the system is connected to a monitoring centre, authorised security companies are involved under Private Security Law 5/2014. In apartment buildings, installation in common areas is agreed at the owners’ meeting under the Horizontal Property Law (Ley de Propiedad Horizontal).

To keep the system running in a power cut, it can be backed by a UPS. If you want stronger protection, combine the cameras with an alarm system and see the rest of our services under telecoms and security.

Frequently asked questions

How much does it cost to install security cameras at home?

As a market reference, a 4-camera system costs 400 to 2,500 euros, an 8-camera system 800 to 5,000 euros and a 16-camera system 1,500 to 9,500 euros, all plus 21 % VAT. The range is wide because resolution, night vision, the recorder and the difficulty of the cabling all change the price.

Do I have to put up a sign if I install cameras?

Yes. If the cameras record areas where people may appear, data protection law (the GDPR and Spain's Organic Law 3/2018) requires a visible information sign. We tell you where to put it and aim the cameras so they do not record the street or your neighbour's property beyond what is strictly necessary.

Can I watch the cameras from my phone while I am abroad?

Yes. IP cameras and most current recorders let you watch live and review recordings from an app, wherever you are, as long as the home has an internet connection. We set it up on your phone and on those of anyone you choose, with your own passwords rather than the factory ones, which is one of the most common security failures.

Can cameras be installed in the building entrance or the communal garage?

Yes, if the owners' meeting of the comunidad approves it and the Horizontal Property Law and data protection rules are met: an information sign, limited access to the images and cameras that do not point at the public street. We help you define how many cameras are needed and where, so you can take a clear proposal to the meeting.

Can the cameras be connected to a monitoring centre?

They can be integrated with an alarm system connected to a monitoring centre, but that connection is provided by an authorised security company, as required by Spain's Private Security Law 5/2014. We install the cameras, the recorder and the cabling, and explain which part corresponds to whom.

What happens if the power goes off?

Without power, the cameras and the recorder stop working. To avoid this, the recorder, the router and the cameras can be connected to a UPS, which keeps them running during a power cut (outage). In villas and businesses we recommend it almost always, together with a surge protector in the fuse box.
