Services in this area

Swimming pool electrics

We carry out swimming pool electrical installation in Seville, Spain and the Aljarafe under ITC-BT-31: a filtration pump control panel with timer and protection devices, pump connection, 12 V LED lights, weatherproof sockets and equipotential bonding, with the installation legalised. We also repair the pump that will not start and the RCD that trips when the filtration switches on.

Automatic irrigation and well pumps

We handle the electrical side of automatic irrigation installation in Seville, Spain: a protected supply for the controller, wiring for the solenoid valves, rain sensors and phone control, and the well pump control panel with dry-run protection so the pump does not burn out when the water level drops. For villas, townhouses and plots in the Aljarafe and the surrounding countryside.

Driveway gates and property gates

We fit the sliding gate motor or swing gate motors on your property in Seville, Spain to automate the driveway gate: motor, photocells, warning lamp, receiver and remotes, with a protected power cable from the house fuse box. We also repair motors that do not respond, gates that stop halfway and remotes that will not open.

Outdoor sockets, barbecues and pergolas

We carry out outdoor socket installation in Seville, Spain: the weatherproof socket (outlet in the US) you are missing on the terrace, by the barbecue, on the pergola or in the garden, with its own RCD so the whole house does not trip when it rains. We also fit lights on pergolas and porches and take electricity to sheds, storerooms and garages separate from the house.

Pool electrician in Seville: what the rules require outdoors

Outdoors is the most demanding part of any installation: there is water, sun, soil and people walking barefoot. That is why the REBT treats outdoor areas as wet locations (ITC-BT-30): weatherproof fittings and switches (IP65 or higher), buried cable in conduit (ITC-BT-07), a separate RCD for the outdoor circuits and boxes that do not collect water. Doing it properly stops the RCD tripping every time you water the garden or it rains.

In Seville this work is concentrated in the detached and terraced houses of the Aljarafe and the metropolitan belt, where many international families live. If that is your area, see Aljarafe north, Tomares, Bormujos or Mairena del Aljarafe.

Private pools

A pool’s electrical installation has its own instruction, ITC-BT-31, which divides the area around the pool into zones 0, 1 and 2. We fit the filter pump panel with a timer, connect the pump, install 12 V underwater lighting, weatherproof sockets and equipotential bonding, and legalise it. If the pool exceeds 10 kW, it needs a periodic inspection by an authorised inspection body. The panel and connections cost roughly 400 to 1,200 euros.

Irrigation, wells and electric gates

  • Automatic irrigation and well pumps: power for controllers and valves, submersible pumps and pump panels with dry-run protection, so the pump does not burn out if the well level drops. 150 to 500 euros.
  • Driveway gates and plot entrances: swing or sliding motors, photocells, warning light, receiver and remotes, on a protected line. 500 to 1,500 euros installed depending on the motor.

Outdoor sockets, barbecue and pergola

A weatherproof socket (outlet) next to the barbecue, lights in the pergola or a socket for the pool cleaner on the terrace are small jobs best done once and properly: with their own RCD protection and outdoor-rated sockets. Roughly 60 to 150 euros per point.

On a plot it also makes sense to think about energy: solar panels and EV charging work very well together in a house. See solar and energy efficiency and the home EV charger for a house. Guide prices are on the prices page, and the other specialities in services.

Besides the work above, we often do these alongside it, each one within another service:

  • Pool heating: line and protection for the heat pump and its control panel, to extend the swimming season. The electrical work costs 200 to 600 euros. Part of swimming pool electrics.
  • Garden, pool and path lighting: buried circuits with inspection boxes, bollards and IP65 or IP68 floodlights switched by timer or photocell, 50 to 120 euros per point. See outdoor lighting.
  • Sheds, storerooms and outbuildings: sub-board and buried or overhead line to sheds, separate garages and tool rooms, 300 to 900 euros depending on distance. Covered in outdoor sockets.
  • Awnings, bioclimatic pergolas and motorised enclosures: power for awning motors, louvres and glass curtains, with wind and sun sensors, 120 to 300 euros per motor. See motorised blinds and awnings.

Frequently asked questions

What voltage do pool lights use?

Underwater lights and those within the zone closest to the water run on safety extra-low voltage, 12 volts, with the transformer outside that zone, as ITC-BT-31 requires. In addition, all metal parts are joined with equipotential bonding to prevent shocks. If your pool lights trip the RCD, water has usually got into a fitting.

Can power be run to a shed or a separate garage?

Yes. A line is run underground in conduit, or overhead if the distance and terrain make it sensible, from the house fuse board to a sub-board in the shed, with its own protection devices. As a reference, it costs 300 to 900 euros plus VAT, depending on the distance and whether a trench needs digging.

How much does it cost to motorise a driveway gate?

A motor for a swing or sliding gate, with photocells, warning light, receiver and remotes, costs 500 to 1,500 euros installed depending on the weight of the gate and the type of motor. We adjust the closing force to UNE-EN 12453 so the gate stops if it meets an obstacle.
