Boletín eléctrico in Tomares, Seville, Spain: more power, pools, three-phase and new homes
In Tomares, Seville, Spain, the boletín eléctrico nearly always goes with a villa that has grown: more power for air conditioning throughout, a refurbished pool, a switch to three-phase or an EV charger. We also handle it in the new Altos del Aire flats when you extend the installation.

Boletín eléctrico in Tomares: almost always a villa that has grown
Tomares has about 25,492 residents and is a town of villas and townhouses on their own plots, high on the Aljarafe ridge next to Triana and Los Remedios. Many estates, such as Aljamar or those around El Zaudín, were built between the 1980s and 2000s with wiring that was correct for its time but certified for far less consumption than today. That is why the boletín eléctrico, the official installation certificate the distributor relies on, rarely comes here with a change of account holder and nearly always with an extension.
More power for the summer
The most common Tomares case: air conditioning in every room, pool pump, induction hob and now an electric car. The potencia contratada, the maximum power in your contract, falls short, the limiter cuts out in August and, to raise it above what the old boletín states, a new one is needed. Before signing it we check:
- That the riser cable (derivación individual) from the meter can carry the new power.
- That the main switch (IGA) is rated for it.
- That the fuse board has the RCDs and circuits the regulations require.
If any of these fails, we give you its price first. The process is explained on our increase contracted power page.
Three-phase for heat pumps and faster charging
Some large villas need to switch to three-phase supply for a powerful aerothermal heat pump or to charge a car at 11 kW. It changes the riser, the board and the contract, and it is always certified. The charger itself is covered on our home EV charger for houses page.
The pool: an alteration and sometimes an inspection
Refurbishing the pump panel, adding a pool heat pump or switching the pool light to 12 V LED are alterations that get certified. It is a good moment to check the equipotential bonding required by ITC-BT-31, often missing in older pools. If the pool exceeds 10 kW, regulation ITC-BT-05 also requires an inspection by an authorised body. Everything electrical about pools is on our swimming pool electrics page.
Solar panels: a certificate of their own
With so many free roofs, Tomares sees plenty of self-consumption installations. They carry their own certificate, separate from the home’s boletín. If installing them changes the board or raises the power, each part is documented. More on our solar panels page.
Altos del Aire: new flats with a garage
Up beside the Olivar del Zaudín park, the Mistral, Siroco and Poniente phases of Grupo Insur’s Altos del Aire are handed over with their certificate, so none is needed to connect the supply; a new boletín appears when the owner adds a charger in their space, extends circuits in the kitchen or on the terrace, or wants more power than certified. More about the area on our Altos del Aire new-build page.
Guide price in Tomares
A boletín for a compliant home starts at 70 euros plus 21 % VAT. For a villa with extensions, depending on complexity, the market range is 80 to 300 euros, plus any upgrades needed and, for a power increase, the distributor’s fees. Regional fees are around 30 to 40 euros. More prices are on our prices page, and the rest of our work in the town is on electrician in Tomares.
Frequently asked questions
I want more power at my villa for the air conditioning. Is a boletín always needed?
Only if the new power exceeds the maximum stated on your current certificate. In villas from the 1980s and 1990s that is usual, because they were certified for lower use. Before signing the new boletín we check that the riser cable and the main switch can take that power, and if not, we quote their replacement first.
I am refurbishing the pool electrics. Do I need a new boletín?
If you change the pump panel, add circuits or alter the lighting, yes, because it modifies the installation. We take the chance to move the pool light to 12 V and add the equipotential bonding required by regulation ITC-BT-31. If the pool installation exceeds 10 kW, an inspection by an authorised body is also required.
Do the solar panels on my roof go on the same boletín as the house?
No. A self-consumption installation (autoconsumo) has its own installation certificate under Royal Decree 244/2019. If fitting it also changes the house fuse board or raises the power, each part is certified accordingly. We explain it with your specific case.
