Warehouse electrical installation in Seville, Spain
We carry out the warehouse electrical installation in Seville, Spain and on its industrial estates: supply connection, switchboards, cable trays and conduits, power sockets, lighting, earthing and power for cold rooms, with project and legalisation. When the warehouse needs a transformer substation, we coordinate it.

Warehouse electrical installation in Seville, from project to commissioning
A warehouse is not wired like a large shop. You have to plan for the power of today’s machinery and the machinery still to come, split it into boards by zone, run lines over dozens of metres with the right cable size, light ceilings several metres high and leave an earthing system that really protects. We carry out warehouse electrical installations in Seville, Spain from the project to the legalisation, in new builds, refurbishments and warehouses that change activity.
What a warehouse installation includes
- Supply connection and riser cable to the main board, sized for the planned power with headroom to grow.
- Main board and sub-boards by zone, with selectivity. We go into detail on industrial switchboards.
- Cable trays and conduits along ceilings and walls, tidy and accessible for future extensions.
- Three-phase and single-phase power sockets for machinery, compressors and workstations, as we explain in machinery connection.
- Lighting for the warehouse floor, the storage area and the loading bays, with LED high-bay fittings and control by zones. More in industrial lighting.
- Emergency lighting along escape routes and exits.
- Earthing network with rods or a ring, measured and documented.
- Offices and changing rooms in the warehouse, with their own sub-board.
- Project, installation certificate and registration with the Junta de Andalucía, the regional government.
Regulations
- ITC-BT-04: warehouses with machinery usually need a project signed by a qualified engineer.
- ITC-BT-19: general rules for indoor installations (cable sizes, voltage drop, insulation).
- ITC-BT-29: requirements for premises with a risk of fire or explosion, when the activity involves it (paints, fuels, dust).
- ITC-BT-47: motor installations.
- Royal Decree 337/2014: the high-voltage regulation, for the transformer substation when there is one.
Transformer substation: coordination
If the warehouse needs more power than the distributor supplies at low voltage, or the estate is supplied at medium voltage, a transformer substation will be needed. The high-voltage part is carried out by a company licensed for it; we coordinate the whole job and do all the low-voltage work from the transformer onwards. We explain how on medium-voltage coordination.
Cold rooms and industrial refrigeration
Many food, distribution and catering warehouses have cold rooms. Their electrical side needs special attention, because a fault at night can ruin all the stock:
- Own line and board for each cold room or group of cold rooms.
- Compressor protection and control under ITC-BT-47.
- Temperature alarms that alert your mobile and, if you want, keep a log.
- Auto-reclosing devices so that a passing trip does not leave the cold room off until morning.
- Coordination with the refrigeration engineer, who builds the refrigeration installation under Royal Decree 552/2019.
Warehouses on Seville’s industrial estates
We work on the industrial estates of the metropolitan area: PISA in Mairena del Aljarafe, La Isla in Dos Hermanas, Fridex in Alcalá de Guadaíra, and Calonge, Store, Carretera Amarilla, El Pino or the airport area, as well as agricultural and storage buildings in the farmland of the vega and the campiña. The profile is similar: three-phase supply, machinery added in stages and, more and more often, fleets of vans parked inside overnight.
That opens two improvements worth planning in the same job:
- Fleet charging: 11 to 22 kW chargers with load management, using spare power at night. And if the site has more than 20 parking spaces, the requirement for one charging station for every 40 spaces. We explain it in EV charging on industrial estates.
- Rooftop solar: a warehouse consumes during the day, exactly when panels produce. See solar for businesses.
If your bill includes a reactive energy penalty, it is corrected with a capacitor bank sized after measuring the installation.
How we work
- Visit to the warehouse with the activity, the machinery and the planned power.
- Load study and technical proposal: supply connection, boards, lines, lighting and earthing.
- Project or technical report, coordinated with the engineer when needed.
- Fixed quote item by item and a works calendar.
- Installation, in phases if the warehouse is already working.
- Measurements and tests: insulation, earthing, RCDs and commissioning of each machine.
- Legalisation and dealings with the distributor.

Frequently asked questions
Does an industrial warehouse in Spain need an electrical project?
In most cases, yes. ITC-BT-04 sets which installations need a project signed by a qualified engineer according to power and activity, and warehouses with machinery usually exceed the limits of the simpler technical design report (MTD). We assess it at the start and coordinate the project with the works.
How much does the electrical installation of a warehouse cost?
It is quoted by project, because it depends on the floor area, the power, the machinery and the activity. As a guide, each power socket or line for a machine costs 150 to 500 euros depending on distance, and labour runs from 15 to 75 euros an hour, plus 21 % VAT. After the visit we give you a fixed price.
Does my warehouse need a transformer substation?
Only if the power you need is more than the distributor can supply at low voltage at that point, or if the estate is already supplied at medium voltage. In that case the high-voltage part is carried out by a company licensed for it, and we coordinate and do all the low-voltage work from the transformer onwards.
I have bought or leased a used warehouse with no papers. Can you legalise it?
Yes. We inspect the installation, measure earthing, insulation and protection devices, tell you what must be upgraded and, once corrected, file the installation certificate (the boletín) with its technical report or project with the Junta de Andalucía. It is the usual situation when a second-hand warehouse is bought or rented.
What does the electrical side of a cold room need?
Its own line and board, protection for the compressor motors under ITC-BT-47, control wiring and a temperature alarm. The refrigeration installation itself follows Royal Decree 552/2019 and is done by the refrigeration engineer; we do its power supply, the board and the alarms, in coordination with them.
Can I charge the company vans in the warehouse?
Yes, and it is usually the best option: warehouses have three-phase supplies and spare power at night. We install 11 to 22 kW chargers with load management so you do not have to raise the potencia contratada (contracted power). If you add solar panels on the roof, you can charge during the day with your own energy.

As a guide, a power socket costs 150 to 500 euros plus VAT depending on distance.
Medium voltage
Transformer substation maintenance in Seville, Spain, coordinated for you: if your company has its own substation, we coordinate its maintenance and statutory inspections with a company licensed for high voltage, which carries out the medium-voltage work. Pulso Eléctrico takes care of all the low voltage, from the main switchboard to the last machine, so you have a single point of contact.
