Industrial switchboards and distribution boards in Seville, Spain
We design, assemble and wire industrial switchboards in Seville, Spain: main low-voltage switchboards, distribution sub-boards and control panels for machines, pumps and processes, with diagrams, labelling and compliance with UNE-EN 61439. We also extend and replace old switchboards in warehouses and factories.

Industrial switchboards in Seville: design, assembly and commissioning
The switchboard is the heart of any warehouse or factory. It decides whether the machines start, whether a fault stays isolated and whether anyone gets a fright when they open the door. We build custom industrial switchboards in Seville, Spain and its metropolitan area, from a sub-board for one production line to the main low-voltage switchboard of a whole warehouse, with diagrams, labelling and documents.
We also work on what is already there: extensions, reorganising outgoing circuits, replacing obsolete switchgear and boards that run hot or trip for no clear reason.
Which switchboards we build
- Main low-voltage switchboard, at the entry to the installation, with the main protection and distribution to the sub-boards.
- Distribution sub-boards by zone: production, storage, offices, lighting, air conditioning, refrigeration.
- Control panels for machines, pumps, compressors, fans, doors and conveyors, with contactors, relays, timers or a PLC.
- Pump panels with dry-run protection, pump alternation and alarms.
- Panels with a variable speed drive or soft starter for large motors, as we explain in motors and variable speed drives.
- Panels with a PLC and touch screen, when the process calls for it. See automation and PLC.
How we design an industrial switchboard
- Loads and diversity. We start from the list of loads, their power and how they run at the same time.
- Protection and breaking capacity. Each breaker is chosen for the current of its line and the short-circuit current that can occur at that point.
- Selectivity (discrimination). Protection devices are coordinated so that, in a fault, the one nearest to it trips and not the main breaker.
- RCDs by group, with the sensitivity and type suited to each kind of load (motors, drives, electronics).
- Enclosure and ventilation. Protection rating for the environment (dust, damp, outdoors) and spare space to extend.
- Diagrams and labelling. Every outgoing circuit identified and the single-line diagram kept inside the board. If your warehouse has no up-to-date drawings, we survey them as in single-line diagrams.
Regulations
- UNE-EN 61439: design and verification of low-voltage switchgear assemblies.
- Low Voltage Directive 2014/35/EU: CE marking of the switchboard.
- ITC-BT-17: main and individual control and protection devices.
- ITC-BT-04: whether the warehouse installation needs a project signed by a qualified engineer.
When to replace or extend the switchboard
- You have bought new machinery and the board has no room or cannot take more load.
- The board runs hot, smells of burning or has discoloured switchgear.
- Breakers trip for no obvious reason, or the main breaker trips because of a fault on a single machine.
- The switchgear is very old and spare parts are no longer made.
- There are no diagrams and nobody knows what each breaker protects.
- An inspection or your occupational insurer (mutua) has flagged safety defects.
Before you decide, a thermal imaging survey of the board with the warehouse working shows which connections and breakers are under stress.
Switchboards for warehouses on Seville’s industrial estates
We work on the industrial estates around Seville, such as PISA in Mairena del Aljarafe, La Isla in Dos Hermanas, Fridex in Alcalá de Guadaíra, Calonge, Store, Carretera Amarilla or El Pino. They are warehouses with three-phase supplies, machinery that grows with the business and, very often, boards assembled in stages with circuits added in no particular order. A well-designed board there is not a luxury: it is what keeps the shift running when something fails. If the warehouse is being fitted out from scratch, we integrate it into the warehouse electrical installation.
How we work
- Visit, or you send us the diagrams: we see the installation, the loads and what you need.
- Technical proposal with single-line diagram, switchgear and enclosure.
- Fixed quote and assembly time.
- Assembly and wiring in the workshop or on site, depending on size.
- Replacement or connection in the warehouse, in a slot that does not stop production.
- Tests and measurements, with handover of diagrams and documents.

Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between a distribution board and a control panel?
A distribution board shares out the power and protects the lines that feed machines, lighting or sub-boards. A control panel runs a piece of equipment: starts, stops, sequences and alarms, using contactors, relays, timers or a PLC. In a warehouse you usually find both, and the control panel often sits next to the machine.
Which standard must an industrial switchboard meet in Spain?
Low-voltage switchgear assemblies are designed and verified to the UNE-EN 61439 series and carry CE marking under the Low Voltage Directive 2014/35/EU. Within the installation, the control and protection devices follow ITC-BT-17 of the REBT, the Spanish Low Voltage Regulation. We deliver the switchboard with its diagrams and documents.
Can my existing switchboard be extended?
It depends on the free space, the busbars and the main protection. If there is room and the switchgear can take the new load, outgoing circuits are added. If it is at its limit, runs hot or is many years old, a new sub-board or a replacement main board makes more sense. We check by measuring loads and temperature.
Why does the switchboard in my warehouse get hot?
The usual causes are loose connections, breakers working at their current limit, undersized cables or an unventilated board packed with switchgear. Thermal imaging spots hot points with the board under load before they cause a breakdown or a fire. Then we retighten, resize or reorganise whatever is needed.
I run a foreign company with a site near Seville. Can you work from our own diagrams?
Yes. Send us the diagrams or the specification and we assess them against UNE-EN 61439 and the REBT. If the site has no up-to-date drawings, we survey it first and draw the single-line diagram. Then we give you a fixed price and an assembly time.
How much does an industrial switchboard cost?
It is quoted by project, because it depends on the power, the number of outgoing circuits, the switchgear and whether it includes control logic or a PLC. As a guide, a thermal imaging study of an existing board starts at 150 euros plus 21 % VAT. With the diagrams or after seeing the installation we give you a fixed price and the assembly time.

Industrial warehouses
We carry out the warehouse electrical installation in Seville, Spain and on its industrial estates: supply connection, switchboards, cable trays and conduits, power sockets, lighting, earthing and power for cold rooms, with project and legalisation. When the warehouse needs a transformer substation, we coordinate it.
Automation and PLC
PLC automation in Seville, Spain: programming and wiring of programmable logic controllers (PLCs), sensors, actuators and HMI screens for machines, pumping systems, conveyors and processes, and automation panels that replace old relay logic with control that is reliable, documented and easy to change.
Motors and drives
Variable speed drive installation in Seville, Spain, starter replacement and proper motor protection: we work in warehouses, pumping stations, residential booster pump sets and machinery, fitting drives, soft starters, contactors, motor protection breakers and thermal overload relays, with programming and commissioning.
Industrial maintenance
Industrial electrical maintenance for businesses in Seville, Spain: scheduled inspection plans for switchboards, motors, lines, lighting, UPS units and generators, thermal imaging to get ahead of breakdowns and call-outs for the ones that still happen, in warehouses, shops, offices and residential buildings with industrial-type installations.
Thermal imaging
Thermal imaging of an electrical panel in Seville, Spain uses an infrared camera to find hot spots on terminals, connections and protective devices before they fail or start a fire. We inspect the panels of apartment buildings, shops, warehouses and homes while the installation is running under load, and hand you a report with the images, the temperatures and what needs correcting.
Single line diagrams and drawings
We draw the single line diagram (esquema unifilar) of your home in Seville, Spain, or of premises or a whole building, from the real installation: we survey each panel, identify the circuits, check protective devices and cable sizes, and produce the diagram and the floor plans. It is the documentation a legalisation, a sale, a renovation or proper maintenance calls for.
