Industrial machinery connection and power sockets in Seville, Spain
Industrial machinery connection in Seville, Spain: three-phase lines from the board, CETAC industrial sockets, protection for each machine and commissioning of compressors, ovens, presses, saws and workshop or kitchen equipment. As a guide, a power socket costs 150 to 500 euros plus VAT depending on distance.

Industrial machinery connection in Seville: every machine with its own line and protection
Buying a machine is the easy part. Connecting it properly means running a line with the right cable size, protecting it with what its motor or heating element needs, earthing it, checking it turns in the right direction and making sure the board and the power of the premises can take it. We carry out industrial machinery connection in warehouses, workshops, bakeries, kitchens and shops in Seville, Spain, from a single power socket to the full electrification of a production line.
What connecting a machine includes
- Reading the rating plate: power, voltage, current and type of start-up.
- Line from the board with the cable size calculated for the power and distance, with no voltage drop that strains the motor.
- Its own protection: a circuit breaker (MCB) with the right curve and an RCD, or a motor protection breaker and contactor when the machine requires it.
- CETAC industrial socket or fixed connection, depending on whether the machine moves.
- Earthing (grounding) of the machine, with continuity tested.
- Commissioning: phase sequence, direction of rotation, current draw with no load and under load.
Machines we connect
- Air compressors, with their line, protection and, if needed, a soft starter.
- Industrial ovens, griddles and fryers in bakeries and kitchens, as we describe on our page for bars and restaurants.
- Saws, presses, lathes, folding machines and welders in workshops.
- Conveyors, hoists and industrial doors in warehouses.
- Pumps, fans and extractors, which often call for a drive. See motors and variable speed drives.
- Industrial washing machines and laundry equipment, with protection against damp.
Power sockets: blue, red and fixed connection
Industrial sockets follow standard UNE-EN 60309. They are sturdy, interlocked and colour-coded: blue for 230 V and red for 400 V three-phase. We fit them where the machine is moved or replaced often, and for site boards or hired equipment. When the machine is fixed and high-powered, we connect it directly from its own protection, which is safer and avoids poor contacts.
When the board or the power has to change
Before connecting, we check three things:
- That the board has room and its main protection can take the new load. If not, we extend it or fit a sub-board, as in industrial switchboards.
- That the potencia contratada (contracted power) is enough with the machine running alongside everything else. If not, a contracted power increase is requested.
- That the supply is three-phase if the machine is. If the premises are single-phase, the supply has to be changed from single-phase to three-phase.
Regulations
- ITC-BT-47: motor installations, line sizes and protection against overload and phase loss.
- UNE-EN 60309: plugs and sockets for industrial use.
- ITC-BT-04: whether the extension changes the installation enough to require a new project or technical design report.
Machinery connection in Seville’s warehouses
We do this mostly on the industrial estates around Seville: PISA in Mairena del Aljarafe, La Isla in Dos Hermanas, Fridex in Alcalá de Guadaíra, Calonge, Store or Carretera Amarilla, and in workshops and warehouses in La Rinconada, Utrera or Carmona. If the warehouse is being fitted out, we include it in the warehouse electrical installation so the sockets end up where the machines will really go.
How we work
- You send us the machine’s rating plate (a photo will do) and where it will go.
- Visit to see the board, the cable route and the available power.
- Fixed quote for the line, the socket and anything needed in the board.
- Installation on the day or in a slot that does not stop the business.
- Commissioning with you, checking protection and earthing.
- Updated board diagram with the new outgoing circuit.

Frequently asked questions
How much does it cost to install a three-phase power socket?
As a guide, 150 to 500 euros per socket plus 21 % VAT, depending on the distance to the board, the power of the machine and the type of conduit. If the board has no room or the contracted power is not enough, that is quoted separately. After seeing the premises and the machine rating plate we give you a fixed price.
Can I connect a three-phase machine if my premises have a single-phase supply?
Not directly. The supply has to be changed to three-phase, with its boletín (installation certificate) and the paperwork with the distributor, or an alternative found for small machines. Before buying the machine, check the power and the type of supply of the premises to avoid surprises.
What is a CETAC socket?
It is the name used in Spain for industrial sockets to standard UNE-EN 60309: sturdy, with interlocking and colour-coded by voltage (blue for 230 V and red for 400 V). They are used to connect machines, compressors, site boards or kitchen equipment that is moved or relocated.
Why does the breaker trip when the machine starts?
Motors draw several times their rated current at start-up. If the breaker does not have the right curve, the line is undersized or there is a large voltage drop, it trips. It can also be a failing phase or a motor in poor condition. We measure the start-up and adjust the protection or propose a starter.
I have imported a machine from abroad. Can you connect it in Spain?
We read its rating plate first: voltage, frequency, current and type of start-up. Spanish supplies are 230 V single-phase and 400 V three-phase. If the machine matches, we run the line, fit the socket or fixed connection, check protection and earthing and commission it with you, coordinating with the manufacturer if it has its own control system.
Do you connect the machine and leave it running?
Yes. We run the line, fit the socket or fixed connection, check the direction of rotation and the phase sequence, verify protection and earthing and carry out the first start-up with you. If the machine has its own control or automation, we coordinate with the manufacturer or the equipment installer.
