Solar and efficiency
Solar batteries in Seville, Spain: store your panels' energy for the night
We install solar batteries in Seville, Spain, lithium units in new installations or added to panels you already have, so the energy left over at midday can be used in the evening and at night. First we use your real consumption to work out whether it pays off, how much capacity you need and which inverter is required.

Solar batteries in Seville, Spain: when they make sense
In Seville, solar panels produce a lot at midday, just when many houses are empty. Without a battery, that energy is exported to the grid and credited on your bill at a low price (the excedentes, or surplus, compensation); with solar batteries it is stored and you use it in the evening, when you switch on the air conditioning, cook or charge the car. That is why their use has soared: in 2025, 61 % of new residential installations already included a battery, according to UNEF, the Spanish solar industry association, and battery installations grew by 65 % that year, to 540 MWh.
But it does not always pay off. It suits you if:
- You use a lot in the evening and at night: air conditioning in summer, aerothermal heat pump (aerotermia), induction hob.
- You export a lot of surplus and get little for it.
- You have, or will have, an electric car that you charge at night.
- You want backup for power cuts, with the system designed for it.
If almost all your consumption is during the day or your surplus is small, we will tell you.
A new battery or one added to your panels
- New installation with a battery: a hybrid inverter from the start, with panels and battery sized together. See solar panels.
- Battery added to existing panels: if the inverter is a hybrid, it connects to it; if not, a battery inverter is added to work alongside the current one.
We install lithium batteries, the technology used in homes today for its size, cycle life and safety, in line with the UNE-EN 62619 standard. The installation follows Royal Decree 244/2019 on self-consumption and the Spanish Low Voltage Electrotechnical Regulation (REBT).
Villas in Seville and how they use energy
In the detached houses of the Aljarafe, in Tomares, Mairena del Aljarafe or Bormujos, and in La Rinconada or Dos Hermanas, the pattern repeats: panels on the roof, an empty house during the day and heavy consumption on returning home, with air conditioning and the pool in summer. With around 3,000 hours of sunshine a year, the midday surplus is large, and that is where a battery earns its keep. In country houses around Carmona with no grid connection, the battery is essential and part of an off-grid solar installation.
The alternative: your car battery
If you have a compatible electric car, bidirectional V2H charging lets you use its much larger battery to power the house at night.
How we work
- We study your consumption from your bills or with a monitor, and the real production of your panels.
- We tell you whether it pays off and what capacity and inverter you need.
- Fixed quote in writing.
- Installation of the battery, the inverter if needed and the protections.
- Setup and paperwork, and we show you how to follow charging and discharging in the app.
To keep your installation performing, there is solar panel maintenance. More under solar and energy efficiency, and our general rates on the prices page.

Frequently asked questions
Is it worth adding a battery to my solar panels in Spain?
It depends on when you use electricity. If you are out during the day and use most of it in the evening and at night, the battery stores the midday surplus instead of exporting it for little money. If almost all your consumption is during the day, it may not pay off yet. In 2025, 61 % of new residential installations already included a battery. We calculate it with your data.
Can I add a battery to the panels I already have?
Yes. If your inverter is a hybrid, the battery connects directly to it. If not, a separate battery inverter is added to work alongside the one you have. On the visit we check the inverter model, the space available and the consumer unit to tell you the simplest and cheapest option.
What battery capacity do I need?
Enough to cover your consumption from sunset to the next morning, and no more: a battery that never fills up is money sitting idle. We calculate it from your bills or, better, with an energy monitor over a few weeks, and with the real production of your panels in Seville.
Will I have power at home during a power cut?
Only if the system is designed to run isolated from the grid, with a backup function and a consumer unit that separates the circuits you want to keep. Not all battery installations do this by default. If you are interested, we design it from the start and tell you which circuits will stay powered.
How much does a solar battery cost in Seville, Spain?
It depends on the capacity, the brand and whether the inverter has to be replaced or added. As a market reference, a complete 6 kWp installation with a 5 kWh battery costs 10,000 to 14,000 euros plus 21 % VAT (12,100 to 16,940 euros in total). To add a battery to existing panels, we give you a fixed price after seeing your installation.
Which regulations apply?
Self-consumption installations in Spain are governed by Royal Decree 244/2019 and the electrical side by the Low Voltage Electrotechnical Regulation. Lithium batteries must meet their safety standard, UNE-EN 62619. When we add a battery we update the installation's paperwork, so the registered documents match what is actually on your wall.

Solar panels for self-consumption
We install solar panels in Seville, Spain and the surrounding province on a turnkey basis: we study your consumption and your roof, fit panels, inverter and protection devices, and handle the legalisation and the compensation for your surplus energy. With Seville's sunshine, each kW installed saves an average of about 189 euros a year.
Solar panel maintenance
We carry out solar panel maintenance in Seville, Spain: panel cleaning, thermal imaging to find damaged cells and connections, and checks of the inverter, protections and monitoring. You recover the production lost to dust and to faults nobody sees, even if another company installed your system.
Off-grid solar and solar kits
We install off-grid solar systems in the province of Seville, Spain when there is no grid connection or bringing one in does not pay off: panels, batteries, charge controller and inverter for country houses, plots, farm buildings, wells and caravans, sized for what you will connect and with backup for cloudy days.
Bidirectional V2G and V2H charging
We install the circuit and the switchboard for a bidirectional V2G or V2H charger in Seville, Spain, the kind that lets your car battery power your home during a power cut or at night. V2H can already be installed with approved equipment; V2G, which exports to the grid, is still waiting for a specific payment scheme in Spain.
Solar EV charging
A solar EV charger in Seville, Spain lets you charge your electric car with the energy your roof does not use. We install the wallbox with its meter so it charges only from solar surplus, or from surplus plus a minimum from the grid, and if you do not have panels yet, we carry out the complete installation.
