Energy audit for businesses in Seville, Spain: measure, detect and reduce your consumption
We carry out a business energy audit in Seville, Spain: we measure consumption, find where the energy goes and propose LED, controls, solar self-consumption, reactive power compensation and power adjustment, each measure with its cost, saving and payback period. We also arrange energy performance certificates for homes.

Business energy audit in Seville, Spain: know before you invest
Before changing light fittings, putting up panels or increasing your power, it pays to know where the energy goes. A business energy audit in Seville, Spain answers that with real measurements and ends with a plan of measures backed by figures: how much each one costs, how much it saves and how long it takes to pay for itself.
What we measure
- Overall consumption with a recording analyser in the main switchboard, for several days.
- Consumption by use: air conditioning, refrigeration, lighting, machinery, office equipment.
- Power quality: reactive energy, harmonics and imbalance between phases.
- Hot spots in switchboards and connections, with a thermal imaging camera.
- Contracted power (potencia contratada) against the real peaks.
- Bills for recent months, to see penalties and trends.
We follow the methodology of the UNE-EN 16247 standard on energy audits. For large companies, Royal Decree 56/2016 makes these audits compulsory; for everyone else, they are the safest way to invest in efficiency.
Measures we usually propose
- LED lighting with controls by zone and with detectors, in offices, shops and warehouses, for example with industrial lighting.
- Reactive power compensation with power factor correction.
- Contracted power matched to the real peaks, as we explain in contracted power and tariff review.
- Solar self-consumption sized with your consumption curve, in solar for businesses.
- Predictive maintenance with thermal imaging of switchboards.
Businesses in Seville where we find the most savings
Offices and shops in the city centre and Nervión with old lighting on all day; hotels and restaurants in Triana with air conditioning and refrigeration running for many hours; warehouses in Alcalá de Guadaíra, Dos Hermanas or La Rinconada with motors, compressors and reactive energy penalties; and premises in Mairena del Aljarafe with contracted power well above their peaks. In each case, the audit says which measures pay off, which do not and in what order to do them.
Energy performance certificate
If what you need is the energy certificate for a home or business premises to sell or rent it, that is a different procedure: the document with the A to G label required by Royal Decree 390/2021, the Spanish counterpart of the EPC. It is issued by a qualified partner technician and we arrange it, often together with an electrical check or a renovation, from about 70 euros plus VAT as a guide.
How we work
- Initial meeting and review of bills.
- Metering equipment installed for several days, without interrupting your activity.
- Inspection of switchboards, lighting, air conditioning and machinery.
- Report with measures ranked by return.
- Implementation, if you wish, with a fixed quote per measure.

Frequently asked questions
Is an energy audit compulsory in Spain?
For large companies, yes: Royal Decree 56/2016 requires them to carry out periodic energy audits. For a small business, a shop or a small hotel it is voluntary, but it is usually the fastest way to find savings, because it shows where the energy goes and which measures pay for themselves first.
What do I receive at the end of the audit?
A report with your measured consumption, the waste points found and a list of measures ranked by return: each one with its approximate cost, estimated annual saving and payback period. We follow the methodology of the UNE-EN 16247 standard. With it you can decide what to do first, with us or with whoever you choose.
How much does an energy audit cost in Seville, Spain?
It is quoted according to floor area, number of supplies and the metering equipment to be installed. A study with a power quality analyser costs 250 to 600 euros plus 21 % VAT (302.50 to 726 euros in total) as a guide, and a thermal imaging study of the installation starts at about 150 euros plus VAT (181.50 euros in total). We give you a fixed price before starting.
How long do you need to measure?
Long enough to capture the normal running of the business, including the busiest and quietest days. We usually leave a recording analyser in the main switchboard for several days and measure the biggest loads separately, such as air conditioning, refrigeration, lighting or machinery.
Do I need an energy certificate to rent out my flat in Spain?
Yes. The energy performance certificate (certificado de eficiencia energética), with its A to G label, is compulsory to sell or rent a home under Royal Decree 390/2021, much like the EPC in the UK. It is issued by a qualified partner technician and we arrange it, from about 70 euros plus VAT as a guide.
What measures usually come out of an audit?
The most common are switching the lighting to LED with zone control, adjusting the contracted power, removing the reactive energy penalty with a capacitor bank, programming the air conditioning better and studying solar self-consumption. The report says which ones pay off in your case and in what order.

Solar panels for self-consumption
We install solar panels in Seville, Spain and the surrounding province on a turnkey basis: we study your consumption and your roof, fit panels, inverter and protection devices, and handle the legalisation and the compensation for your surplus energy. With Seville's sunshine, each kW installed saves an average of about 189 euros a year.
Solar for businesses
We install commercial solar panels in Seville, Spain: self-consumption systems of 15 to 100 kW or more on warehouse roofs, solar carports in car parks and solar pumping on farms, with an engineering project, legalisation under Royal Decree 244/2019 and a study that matches your consumption curve against real production.
Capacitors and reactive energy
We install power factor correction in Seville, Spain with a capacitor bank, so you stop paying the reactive energy surcharge that appears on the bills of many warehouses, workshops, hotels and shops. We measure with a power quality analyser, size the bank in kVAr and leave it adjusted so the penalty disappears.
Contracted power and tariff
We carry out a contracted power review in Seville, Spain based on data, not guesswork: we measure your real consumption peaks and adjust the peak and off-peak power of the 2.0TD tariff so you do not pay for potencia contratada (contracted power) you never use, and the limiter does not keep cutting your supply. Ideal before adding an induction hob, air conditioning or an EV charger.
Thermal imaging
Thermal imaging of an electrical panel in Seville, Spain uses an infrared camera to find hot spots on terminals, connections and protective devices before they fail or start a fire. We inspect the panels of apartment buildings, shops, warehouses and homes while the installation is running under load, and hand you a report with the images, the temperatures and what needs correcting.
LED upgrade
An LED lighting upgrade in your home or building in Seville, Spain cuts lighting consumption by up to 80 % compared with halogen. We replace halogen, fluorescent and incandescent lamps with LED, change any transformers and drivers that need it and leave every room with the right light.
