OCPP EV chargers with management and payment in Seville, Spain: RFID card, app and billing per kWh
We install OCPP EV chargers in Seville, Spain connected to a management platform, so you can identify each user with an RFID card or an app, share the available power and charge for the energy: hotels, car parks, shops, companies with staff and residential communities that want shared charging.

OCPP EV charger in Seville, Spain: who needs one
A home charger is plugged in and charges. An OCPP charger in Seville, Spain, on the other hand, is designed to be used by several people and to keep track of who charges, how much and at what price. You need one if any of these apply to you:
- Hotel or holiday apartments that want to charge guests for charging or include it in the stay.
- Public or pay car park that bills per kWh.
- Shop, restaurant or shopping centre with parking that wants to attract EV drivers.
- Company whose employees charge their private cars at work.
- Community of owners (comunidad de propietarios), the Spanish homeowners’ association, with a shared installation where each neighbour pays for their own charging.
How it works: OCPP, RFID, app and roaming
- OCPP is the language between the charger and the management platform. Because it is open, you can change platform without changing hardware.
- RFID card or key fob for employees, neighbours and regular guests.
- Operator app for occasional users, who start and pay for the charge from their phone.
- Roaming: the point appears in the most popular charging apps and any driver can charge with their own account.
- Bank card payment, compulsory under the EU AFIR regulation at new public points of 50 kW or more.
We do not need to be the operator: we install the hardware and leave it working on the platform you choose, or put you in touch with an operator who runs it for you.
Public EV charging in Seville
Demand is growing fast. The province of Seville registered 1,968 battery electric cars in 2025 and 2,296 up to 23 October 2026, a market share of 11.7 %. In 2022 the City Council awarded a municipal network of 350 double on-street charging positions, whose first 56 points have been working since April 2024. Even so, a hotel in the historic centre, a restaurant in Nervión or a shop in Mairena del Aljarafe with its own car park can offer something the street cannot: charging while the customer is inside.
What we install
- AC chargers of 7.4 to 22 kW in mode 3 with a Type 2 connector, with OCPP and an RFID reader, such as the Wallbox business range or the V2C Trydan in its OCPP versions.
- Load manager to share the available power between all the points with dynamic load balancing.
- ITC-BT-52 protections (the Spanish EV charging regulation) for each point: a 30 mA type A RCD with 6 mA DC detection, or a type B RCD, a C-curve circuit breaker and a surge protector.
- DC fast charging (mode 4) only when the business justifies it: it requires an engineering project and much more power.
Obligations worth knowing
Non-residential buildings with more than 20 parking spaces had to have one charging station for every 40 spaces from 1 January 2023. If the infrastructure exceeds 50 kW, it needs an engineering project, an initial inspection by an authorised inspection body (OCA) and periodic inspections every 5 years. For warehouses and fleets see EV charging on industrial estates; for hotels, our page for hotels and care homes; and for a shared residential garage, EV chargers in communal garages.
How we work
- Site visit and power study of the building or car park.
- Proposal of equipment and platform, with a fixed quote in writing.
- Installation and certificate, with a technical design report or engineering project depending on the power.
- Registration on the platform, tariff setup and delivery of the cards.
All charging options are under EV charger installation, and our general rates are on the prices page.

Frequently asked questions
What is an OCPP charger?
A charger that talks to a management platform using OCPP, an open protocol from the Open Charge Alliance. It lets you see every charging session, authorise users, set prices and bill, and change platform without changing the hardware. Version 1.6 is the most widespread, and 2.0.1 adds security, smart charging and tariff management.
Can I charge my guests or customers for EV charging?
Yes. With an OCPP charger and a management platform you can charge per kWh or per hour, by RFID card, through the operator's app or through roaming in the most popular charging apps. It is standard practice in hotels, car parks and shops, and a way for the charger to earn money as well as attract customers.
Do I have to become a charging operator to bill users?
Not necessarily. We install the equipment and leave it registered on the platform you choose. You can hire an operator to handle billing and customer support, or run it yourself if you only have a few points. We explain the options before you buy the charger.
Which OCPP version should I ask for?
For a new installation, a charger with OCPP 1.6J that can be upgraded to 2.0.1. It works today with almost any platform and will not become outdated when platforms move to the new version. We check it on the equipment data sheet before installing.
Do I have to accept bank card payments?
The EU AFIR regulation, in force since 2024, requires ad hoc bank card payment at new publicly accessible points of 50 kW or more. On AC chargers of 7.4 to 22 kW, like those at a hotel or a shop, RFID cards and apps are the norm, although there are units with a bank card reader.
How much does the management software cost?
It depends on the operator and the features, but as a guide it costs 3 to 10 euros per point per month plus 21 % VAT (3.63 to 12.10 euros in total). On top of that come the equipment and the installation, which we quote per project according to the number of points, the power available and the civil works needed.
