Electric heating installation in Seville, Spain: panel heaters, radiators and storage heaters
We carry out electric heating installation in Seville, Spain: panel heaters (emisores térmicos), electric radiators and storage heaters mounted, connected and programmed, each with the circuit and protection it needs. First we calculate whether your potencia contratada (contracted power) can take the heating on top of the rest of the home, so the power does not trip on winter mornings.

Electric heating installation in Seville, Spain: what to check first
Winter in Seville is short, but many homes get genuinely cold: older flats with single glazing, courtyard houses in the centre or ground floors facing north. Electric heating with panel heaters or radiators is the quickest and cheapest option to install, because it needs no pipework. What it does need is an electrical installation that can take it. That is why every electric heating installation we do in Seville starts with the power and the circuits, not with the appliance.
What it includes
- Panel heaters and electric radiators mounted on the wall with suitable fixings and connected to their socket or box.
- Storage heaters: installation, inspection of existing ones and programming of the charge.
- New circuits from the fuse box when the existing circuit cannot take the load.
- Programming by timer or thermostat, including control from your phone.
- Power calculation to know whether your contracted power is enough.
- Electric towel rails in the bathroom, with their connection outside the wet zones.
Typical cases in Seville
- Houses in the historic centre and Triana. Thick walls, high ceilings and courtyards: rooms take a long time to warm up, and people tend to plug several radiators into the same power strip. We spread the heaters across circuits and programme when they come on.
- Flats in La Macarena, Nervión or Los Remedios. Installations decades old with few circuits. When heating is added, the main breaker trips as soon as the oven, the washing machine and two radiators coincide. Here a new circuit is usually needed and the power has to be reviewed.
- Homes in Dos Hermanas, Utrera or Carmona with rooms that have no ducted air conditioning, where a programmable heater in the bedroom or the study solves the winter without major work.
If the calculation shows the power is not enough, we explain the options: programming the heaters so they do not coincide, increasing your contracted power or a contracted power and tariff review. If you prefer warmth from the floor, see electric underfloor heating.
How we work
- You tell us which rooms you want to heat and send us a photo of the fuse box and the electricity bill.
- We calculate the load of the heaters added to the home’s consumption.
- We propose how to spread them across circuits, with a fixed price.
- We install and connect the heaters and, if needed, the new circuit.
- We programme the timers and leave everything working.

Regulations
ITC-BT-25 of the Spanish Low Voltage Electrotechnical Regulation defines a dedicated electric heating circuit (C8) in homes with a high electrification level, with its own cable size and protection. Heating equipment also falls under the Regulation on Thermal Installations in Buildings (RITE). The rest of our connections are under air conditioning and appliances.

Frequently asked questions
How much does it cost to install an electric panel heater?
As a guide, 60 to 150 euros plus 21 % VAT per heater installed, not including the appliance. That covers mounting it, connecting it to a suitable socket or box and checking the circuit. If the circuit cannot take several heaters, a new circuit is added from the fuse box, which we quote separately before we start.
How much power do I need for electric heating?
It depends on how many heaters you want on at the same time and their wattage, plus what the home already uses. We add up the appliances that coincide at peak times and compare the total with your potencia contratada, the contracted power in kW on your Spanish electricity contract. If it falls short, we look at programming the heaters so they do not coincide, or increasing the power.
Can I plug several radiators into the same socket?
It is not advisable. An electric radiator draws a lot of power, and several on the same circuit can overload it, heat the socket or trip the breaker. The right approach is to spread them across circuits with the correct cable size; in homes with a high electrification level, the regulation provides for a dedicated heating circuit.
Which is better, electric heating or aerotermia?
To heat a few rooms for a few hours, electric panel heaters are cheap to install. To heat the whole home for many hours, aerotermia (an air-to-water heat pump) or an air-source heat pump uses considerably less energy, although the initial investment is higher. We help you compare based on your home and how you really use it.
Do storage heaters still make sense?
They can, if they charge during the cheapest hours of the tariff and the home makes good use of them. With the current three-period tariff, it is best to programme charging in the off-peak (valle) period. If you have old storage heaters, we check their condition and circuit and tell you whether it is worth keeping them or replacing them with programmable heaters.
I only spend the winter in Seville. Is electric heating enough?
For many winter residents it is. The Seville winter is short, and programmable panel heaters in the rooms you use heat them without building work or pipes. Combined with a smart thermostat, you can switch them on from your phone before you arrive. What must be checked first is that the contracted power and the circuits can take them.
