Installing an EV charger at a detached house in Spain costs roughly 800 to 1,600 euros single-phase, including charger, installation, protective devices and boletín, and 1,600 to 2,800 euros three-phase. You can also deduct 15 % in your Spanish income tax (IRPF) if the installation is finished before 31 December 2026.

What the price includes

  • The charger. Guide equipment prices including VAT in 2026: Tesla Wall Connector 535 to 550 euros, Circutor eHome about 639 euros, V2C Trydan about 780 euros and Wallbox Pulsar Plus 741 to 846 euros.
  • The dedicated line from the fuse board to the garage. In a new detached house a dedicated charging circuit is compulsory (scheme 4a of ITC-BT-52, the Spanish EV charging regulation).
  • The protective devices: a curve C MCB, a 30 mA type A RCD with 6 mA DC detection (or type B) and a surge protector.
  • The boletín and technical report, filed with the Junta de Andalucía industry office.

What pushes the price up

  • Distance from fuse board to garage. Installed cable costs on average about 6 to 6.50 euros per metre and, the longer the run, the thicker the cable: 6 mm2 up to 15 m, 10 mm2 up to 30 m, 16 mm2 up to 50 m.
  • Going through floors, trenches or façades.
  • Dynamic load balancing, if your contracted power is tight. The module costs an estimated 150 to 400 euros plus installation.
  • Three-phase supply to charge at 11 or 22 kW.

The 15 % income tax deduction

If the house or parking space is yours, you can deduct 15 % of what you pay, on a maximum base of 4,000 euros (maximum saving 600 euros), provided the installation is finished before 31 December 2026, you do not pay in cash and a registered installer does the work.

How to get a quote that will not change

Ask for a technical visit before the price: measuring the real distance, seeing the fuse board and checking your contracted power avoids extra costs. The quote should then be fixed and in writing, with any supplements listed. Consumer guides warn of surprises of 200 to 500 euros when there is no fixed price.
